There is some confusing when Tulani, Alptraum, Arkold and Mave fall onto one another, as if no time had passed while they were in the Light of Nala. Mave quickly moves to put obstacles between herself and an angry Alptraum, claiming that she was only following the will of Inala in trying to claim the Light for herself.
While Alptraum deals with the shaken-up Yohdinala, Tulani and Arkold investigate the open sarcophagus and find items belonging to Necropolis. Some, such as the pendants that are used to create the blood-spider-golems, are set aside as obviously dangerous. An odd torc with two dragon-heads facing one another is found as well, which doesn't seem to match the style of the other jewelry.
Dunklestein confirms which items are cursed or carry necromantic enchantments, which winnows down the actual treasure to a few rings and bit of jewelry. Alptraum tries on the torc, which doesn't fit well.
After a bit of debate especially concerning the possibility that Dagh has manipulated the situation so that they'll bring the Light back to Dack the group decides to take it anyway, since they can't be sure they'll get back here again and because the Light may still have useful abilities. Tulani goes to pick it up, and it shrinks down into a silver-bladed saber for her.
The party leaves the Well of Souls quickly, in case the imprisoned Necromancers begin to stir, and discover that their comrades are not waiting at the top instead someone whom Alptraum met briefly years ago is there to greet them.
