Evening begins, and Aaron finds Tasha and Layth in the garden. Figuring out what they'd been up to, the Lapi takes them both to the bathhouse to be cleaned up. The Master of Sacrifices, Abednego, explains to an unusually subdued Tasha how to greet those at the Temple, and what message to deliver.

Layth and Aaron still seem a bit unsure about the whole thing, but Tasha has made up her mind to go.

Despite her nervousness, Tasha manages to deliver the message successfully, and then asks to be trained at the temple – out of the blue! The priestess tells her to return in the morning.
