Alptraum and Tulani enjoy the Frog Festival, until the reenactment of Yewberry's battle with the Frog King commences. Instead of someone dressed up in a Frog King costume, a real frog monster appears out of the fog with a small army of lesser monsters!

Morgan, Alptraum, Tulani and Amelia (the chosen Frog Princess) attack the monsters, sowing confusion. Once it's clear that the Frog King isn't even trying to fight back, the children (armed with brooms) join in to attack the other monsters.

Hurt and scared, the head monsters explains that he's really the son of the old King, and doesn't want to fight. Alptraum negotiates a deal for the creature to return once a year to reenact the battle for tourists.
