After a intensive and draining day of simulated practice and brain editing, Tasha finally gets some sleep only to dream she is Nora during the post-crash Fenris entubement procedure. There, she meets Mariel briefly before being distracted by strange happenings; a bead, a flicker, and strange smells that lead her to an even stranger phantom bar, where Tasha's mother and … father? … speak with her. The father figure is especially mysterious, speaking of dreams and the impact Nora has had on his daughter. The scene soon fades, leaving Nora to her fate, which she now remembers. She is once again trapped in her powered suit, steps away from the corpse of Fred Kohler, trapped by the MOTHER AI – but something is different. Strange poetry precedes the arrival of Tasha, who claims several things, including to be the 'Bird of Hermes' and to re-creator of Nora's dreams. Shortly after Tasha awakens with a shaken sense of self, and quite disturbed to boot.
