After getting Icarus stitched up, cleaned up and dressed, Envoy is surprised when the boy says he sees her glowing, and then when he touches the glow, she can feel it slightly. She thinks this is some sort of crystal or energy field sense. Envoy leaves him for a moment in the old Bio Lab to get changed herself and start preparations to feed him. On the way back she hears and feels a commotion, and runs to find that Icarus has blown the door of the lab into the opposite wall when a ghost spooked him, using only a fraction of his power.
Envoy rolls the too-weak-to-walk boy on the gurney, deciding to bring him to a less haunted level before feeding him. On the way past the silent robot, Icarus points out he can see balls of light moving throughout it from the crystal at its core further proof of being able to sense energy.
Once in the lab she calls home, Envoy makes Icarus some tea and gives him a hardtack biscuit with honey for his first solid meal. He prefers the tea, of course. This causes a reaction that means he has to be taken to the bathroom, and luckily understands how to use a toilet.
It's enough to wear the boy out, and he falls asleep in the lab with Envoy watching over him.
