Wrapped in the forms of Qing's conjured spirit guardians, Jack, Aiken and a very reluctant Midge take on the now super-sized animated vermite statue.

Jack and Aiken manage to keep the monster occupied while Qing prepares to banish it – which the mage eventually does, after the vermite claims its master is still alive and is half-born of Aeztepa; the land of Necromancy.
