The Princess of Stygia stops at a paquebot, Little Rephidim East, for refueling, and to let off a few passengers who are only along for a third of the ocean voyage – and pick up a few more. The passengers have some "shore leave" to explore the paquebot on Unity Day, and Alptraum is among them. He finds some Eeee who are selling some artifacts scavenged, so they say, from the Temple of Inala, and he buys a "dream web" from a Hekoye merchant. He tries to catch a nap, but his rest is interrupted by the appearance of Klaus Schmidt, the Korv pirate ghost who haunts the cursed shekels Alptraum is carrying with him. Alptraum has to chase the ghostly Korv down to try to prevent him from getting into too much mischief. After he manages to dispel the ghost, he actually has an enjoyable time celebrating the holiday.
