Sukara wakes up with a scream in the middle of the night on the Eternal Vigilance, on its way back to Rephidim. This wakes up Elijah as well. Sukara declares that she has to go to Rephidim – Previously it had been hinted that she might slip off before the ship actually reaches port. Elijah indicates that if she does so, she will have to go there as his prisoner, but this does not dissuade Sukara. Elijah pries out of Sukara that she was given a dream in which she felt the experiences of Srinala, who had been abducted by the mages of the Rephidim Mages' Guild Hall. Elijah is confused by Sukara's patchy account, and for a moment thinks that his children may have been harmed or abducted. Sukara clarifies that, no, they were not, and that the mages are not aligned with Babel. Elijah is dubious about the situation, but offers to assist in the rescue of Srinala, since he does not wish to see any harm come to her, but he does not like the idea of Srinala being taken back to Babel for "safety".
