Anisa visits a Khattan couple on the Sunset Hoof. Laiji, the wife, shows off three zolk outfits, and Anisa settles on a ha'clohi – a Khattan outfit that is especially suited for travelers. Anisa leaves, quite pleased with her new attire, only to find that there is trouble above-decks.

While being questioned and asked to show her ticket, Anisa spots Royce hiding in the cargo hold. She goes over, to find out that he was getting hungry, and snuck out to get some food … when Baleforte the copperhead Naga raised a ruckuss about something of his that was stolen, and airmen started combing the ship for the perpetrator.

Anisa arranges a distraction to help Royce sneak back to the cabin, and then she finds out from Royce that he spotted a tan Skeek acting suspiciously at the time of the theft … perhaps none other than Anisa's new friend, Wanda? Anisa is, of course, quite disturbed by this turn of events.
