Sir Steinhardt is summoned to Sir Hehner's office, and asked to deliver a message to his older brother, Lord Steinhardt, at the House of Parliament. Jonas arrives during this, and is presented with a new sword, to replace the two previous chitin ones which the bear broke, and which in turn were replacements for the bone sword Jonas brought out of Bosch.
The deer and bear go into Blitzheim, with Jonas going to see some shops, and Steinhardt meeting his brother. The deer knight and noble confer during a short recess, and Lord Steinhardt tells the Landsknechts about some of the dealings occuring in the Houses of Parliament
