Concerened for both herself and the child growing within her, Lilac is sentto Head Surgeon Shirvinj to be examined, as Umeko's behest. While initially surprised by the diminutive size of the dreadnought's Chief Chirurgeon, the young human realizes her rudeness and quickly warms up to the doctor as her prowess becomes obvious. After a brief set of questions and a ritual, the doctor determines both Lilac and her child to be healthy, but also that Lilac is possessed of several new organs. Beyond not harming Lilac or her child, the doctor can only suggest that these new organs exist to support her child. The Chief Chirurgeon then suggests a series of tests that can be conducted over the next few weeks, with Lilac returning if there are any signs of change. As they bardess departs, the two wish each other luck in the upcoming battle.
