Sukara and Elijah sneak through the streets of the Scholars' Quarter with Srinala, avoiding Temple Guard patrols. Down one alley, it seems for a moment that they have been ambushed, but Sukara reveals that she had secretly made some contacts when she went into Rephidim to find Vague and Shade for Elijah, and made arrangements to help her get Srinala to Babel. They head into a building and through a trap door down underground to a pit that drops through to the bottom side of Rephidim. There, Elijah parts ways with Sukara and Srinala, after bidding his farewells.

Elijah then goes to the Docks, where he meets up with Vague, and learns that Enos and Pouncer have been smuggled down to Xenea to avoid some Temple Guards that had come by the Shiny Shoppe. Elijah bids Vague to make contact with the other Knights Templar, while he himself slips off the island, bound for Safar.
