After Zahn removes several of Olivia's floorboards, they uncover a small, ornate puzzle box. Amy identifies the wood as being thistlebark, used to contain, protect against and sometimes banish spirits.

Gunther manages to crack the combination for opening it, but the others keep him from lifting the lid. Amy things there could be some sort of spirit or magical item inside, and wants to get one of the witches or mages to be present first.

Olivia goes to fetch Mage Qing (with Morgan coming along as a bonus) and the two magic users set up a protective circle that the box can be opened in. Once opened it produces the spirit of a Chronotopian opera-singing Korv that the very late Lord Druagh had imprisoned. The singing is terrible, and attracts a swarm of Creens that won't let Morgan along. To make things worse, Olivia's Aunt Augusta arrives with an even LOUDER voice…
