Willow performs with a small band in the streets of Safar, then, instead of asking for payment for the concert, asks that those gathered listen to what she has to say. She speaks out against the "false Star" that Priest-Queen Jade-Eyes has prophesied, and tells of her own experiences in the City of Hands. She gets mixed reactions from the crowd. Envoy and Lochinvar show up, and so does Prince Sebazhan Dack – a surprise for Willow – who wishes to check on her. Willow meets Lochinvar, and reveals her true identity to Envoy, patching up old disagreements.
