Fetiss, Bassai and Fenter head into the heart of the valley nestled in the "Sacred Mountain" of the new sky island. There, they find the Magenta Lancer, Thorn, and a flag that she has planted, claiming the sky island for Rephidim. Bassai insists that she remove the flag, but she refuses. When Bassai goes for the flag, Thorn draws her swords, and the situation worsens. While Thorn is distracted, trying to convey some sort of instruction to Fenter, and Bassai is trying to deal with the situation, Fetiss strikes, catching Thorn in the neck. In the resulting, quick melee, both Fetiss and Thorn die
