Fenter is "hired" by some Titanians who seek to test out a working aeroplane in the skies over Rephidim, and who need a Chaos Mage to "chase away the gremlins" that cause Titanian machines to explode. He's referred by a Vykarin who recognizes him as a "Sky God" from his adventures on the sky island of Fetiss. Fenter reluctantly boards the "Spirit of Titania", piloted by a (relatively) small Titanian female by the name of Awrful Wrot, and uses his spellcasting ability to manipulate probability to counteract the destructive forces of Quantum Uncertainty, mindful of a tank of explosive fuel located right behind his seat. They actually manage to make it to a safe if violent landing, despite some mid-air repairs Awrful had to enact, but once Awrful pulls Fenter out of his seat, the hem of his robe catches on the lever for his ejector seat, and the rocket that launches his seat out of the craft ignites the remainder of the fuel. The Spirit of Titania, despite its historic flight, goes up in a spectacular explosion. Awrful offers to take Fenter out to get drunk, noting that a couple of drinks of Titanian brew, and he won't even care that the Titanians can't pay him anymore…
