After eating (or not eating, in some cases) dinner in an uncomfortable silence, Vorgulremik's servants bring in a violently struggling human and tie him to a post set into the floor. When it becomes clear the man is in no state of mind to talk, the dragon begins a Mind ritual to determine if the man is under some sort of spell or curse.
During the ritual, Alptraum comments about his birth, which appears to shock Lilith as she then tries to ignore him. The ritual ends with Vorgulremik not having found anything overt in the way of spells, but Alptraum asks to see the belongings of the man. When they're brought out, he identifies the amulet as the same sort he pulled off of a blood beast before, and the dragon smashes it. This calms the man down slightly, enough that he starts struggling in a more rational manner at least.
Vorgulremik calls on Lilith and Ravenia to work their wiles on the prisoner, and the pair dance a version of the Tarantella that confuses and distracts the bound man enough that he lets his guard down… only to have the dragon lunge forward and bite into his neck.
Sensing an opening into the Sea of Souls, Alptraum runs to the dragon and tries to stop the process by laying his hands on him, but it has no affect as Vorgulremik swallows the man's soul. Lilith pleads with Alptraum not to do anything rash, for fear that the dragon will realize he's the Barsunala and devour his soul as well.
Ignoring everyone, Vorgulremik heads back into a darkened hallway to 'digest' the information he's acquired, leaving the angry Eeee and Jupani with women. Confuse, Tulani takes Ravenia away to wash the prisoner's blood off of her, while Lilith pulls Arkold and Alptraum off to discuss things in private.
