Elijah, Inri and Watches-Quietly reach the Gigi Coast, and visit the Gigi town of Seafoam, where they meet an outcast splotched-furred Gigi by the name of Bhuz. Elijah hires Bhuz as a guide to help them go upriver, and then he visits the village priestess, Dinala, and gets a place for them all to stay the night.
