Before getting very far towards the Weaver area to find Olivia, Morgan and Qing are challenged by Gunther and Amelia, who want to know if Qing is really who he claims to be, and what his spells are.

Showing amazing patience, Qing answers their challenges, and Amelia seems confused by Morgan's attitude, until the witch takes her aside to explain what he's trying to do. Amy suggests that if he's trying to be 'undercover' then he shouldn't be wearing his witching clothes, or he'll just confuse people.

Meanwhile, Qing and Gunther establish a report, as the mage tells the Kadie about the sorts of pranks apprentices would pull at the schools of magic.

When they regroup, it is decided to return to the gypsy camp where Gunther saw Olivia go earlier.
