Chiaroscuro, Envoy, and Mircus go further into Little Rephidim West, while Pawtuxet and Naomi stay behind to take care of Roho while he recuperates. Theypass through hallways and dead bodies, finding a battery-powered lantern, and alaboratory with a bathysphere and some notebooks. Mircus wanders off, and Chiaroscuro and Envoy follow his footsteps, discussing some things on the way. The two find him later in a general supplies room, where he's found another lantern- and a notebook, revealing the source of the Black Goop! Naomi comes running after them to join them, telling of a great host of squids filling the sea around them…
