In Galen's ongoing dream quest, he (the healer skunk), Randle (dragon fire-warrior) and Wynona (bat air mage) explore a pool chamber where a water elemental resides. They are accosted by animated towels that seem intent on drying whatever they touch – even to the point of sucking all moisture out of a living creature! Randle roasts the towel that attacks him, and drives back the rest. Meanwhile, a water elemental emerges from the pool and cleans up the mess … then, when Randle approaches, grabs him, dunks him in the water, and scrubs him thoroughly. (The elemental even gives him a fluffy punk bathrobe and Lapi slippers.) Our heroes, having learned more about what is in this room, retire to the bottom chamber to try to work out a plan – and Galen regrets that so far all their plans involve deceit.
