Jarik returns to the strange shrine where Inquisitor Melchizedek was attacked by two wolves in the uniforms of Rephidim Temple guards, and tries to make sense of the scant evidence to be found. He observes while Azhtar arrives to pray at the shrine, and she joins him once he gets her attention. They share some wine, and Jarik finds himself reliving some memories … and finding an unexpected (and unwelcome) surprise
