Anisa finds herself dreaming of a strange place where crystal rods appear, entrapping her. As she speaks, a voice responds, detecting "dissonance", and some orangish points of light seem to hunt about, looking for her. Anisa comes up with an idea, and tries to match the tones of some notes she hears, by ringing different rods to create a tone matching each. This seems to work, and the rods withdraw. When Anisa awakens, she is back in the Akwavi dwelling, Wanda looking a bit concerned as she's watching over the rabbit. Anisa soon finds the reason for Wanda's concern, when she touches her ears and finds a bit of blood. The steel book, however, has somehow become unlocked.
