Anisa and Gibson travel to Lamu. There, they meed with one of the assistants of the Curators. Anisa is reunited with her crystal pendant while Gibson discusses other matters with the reptilian contact. Once the stone is back into her possession … it comes to life. Once again the lapi finds herself in the strange floating place. There she encounters Vandringar … and this time she expels him!
