Journeying to the gypsy camp to check on Bravil, Olivia runs into Liliana first. The Eee is berating to the two lapi brothers that got her wagon all messed up and smelling of swamp and otters while they try to clean it up. Olivia also finds out about the spirit-transfer to Miranda when the vampire bat explains why her eyes aren't glowing today.

At Bravil's wagon, Olivia finds a haggard Natasha watching over the mutated jupani, and chest of memorabilia that Bravil kept. The two go through it, finding a patch indicating the uniform of a Chronotopian Border Guard, and several pieces of parchment written in Bosch.

Unable to read them, Olivia goes to find Axel – the only person she knows that understands the language. She finds him at the Inn, and gets him to translate the papers: reports from a border keep about increasing activity – and strategy – from the forces of Bosch – and hint at why Bravil would have them.
