While showing Born-In-War the old Titan, the Silent-One notes the various modifications and reactivates the machine using the residual power stored in it, since Envoy has removed the Sifran crystal power core.

The Titan activates, and starts speaking in Aelfin, demanding Envoy's Tribunal identification code – and when it doesn't get one, it decides to kill everyone by overloading its plasma cannon. Born-In-War works to deactivate it, and Envoy starts to get panicky. Then she sees the ghost of Twelve, clearly suffering, and doesn't know what to do for him, so tries to activate her crystal implants.

This causes her to black out, and then wake up in the body of Twelve when he was still alive. She manages to get to the lab where Thirteen is being prepared, and encounters Dr. Daedalus. She manages to convince the doctor that she's from the future, but eventually gets pulled back to the present after touching the newborn-sized Thirteen.
