Ophelia visits a ball held in a garden of a noble Rephidim family, on a deck suspended over a pond. While Ophelia is there, she observes a suspicious looking poodle make his rounds about the four corners of the deck, doing who-knows-what behind his back, as the deck gets progressively less stable, shaking now and then. Ophelia is momentarily curious, and starts to follow the poodle, but inertia gets the best of her, and she is reluctant to leave the party. When the dancing begins, the deck collapses, dropping everyone in the pool, as the mysterious poodle (saboteur?) slips away.
