Zoltan, on board Shokar's Silver Bell (aka Freedom's Dream) on what is apparently the island of Paradys, starts dreaming about his past, and ties to his family and to his mentor, Nicodemus. Then, things take a bit of an odd turn, as his "memories" don't quite jive with personal experience. From there, the dream takes a dive into the surreal, joined by a Jezebel who needn't bother with such trivialities like hand-sign. (For that matter, Zoltan's speech is greatly improved in the dream realm as well.) Zoltan wishes to dream about what Sinai might be like if Jezebel were to become Empress … and he receives a vision that does nothing in the least to comfort him for his worries
