After bedecking herself in every possible gadget her skinsuit can hold, Tasha takes some time to talk to her new sister, Nora. The two discuss technology, the JEF, the Karnor Elite, and other related matters. Eventually, the conversation comes dangerously close to the circumstances of Nora's death, leading to a tug-of-war of personalities which Tasha eventually loses. After telling Nora how she died, something Tasha had been dreading on more than one level, Nora informs the young woman that it had all been a test to see how good an ambassador she is. A test, Nora insists, she failed utterly. Even if she doesn't quite understand it, Tasha is furious over the Alpha-Karnor posturing and strikes Nora before exiting the ship in a rage.

Having cast her commcollar aside, putting her beyond contact, the red woman seems intent on losing herself in Orpheus's depths, only for Blammo to intercept her and manage to calm her down some. The Titanian provides beer, food, and friendly company, disarming Tasha's aggression even as he reveals he found the beer in a Vartan-designated space. Excited, and glad to have a distraction, Tasha drags Blammo off to adventure, leaving the Bellerophon and its crew behind.
