After having a strange dream, Rory awakes to find that the Crystal Breeze has landed in Lamu. After cleaning his room he goes out and 'meets the natives', entertaining them with a shadowplay. The natives, strange canine like creatures called Lacinus, reward Rory with a bag of andor seed pods that send the seed inside hurtling outward like a bullet when water is poured on them.
