In her private quarters, Inquisitrix Turtle remembers the scrolls given to her by the Champion of Amber, and opens them up, revealing a small pendant and a number of maps showing the locations of Templar outposts all over Sinai. After she puts this way, mulling over WHY she would be given such a thing, she gets a visit from Arch Inquisitor Majoris Caesar Moffat, who shows without doubt just how disagreeable he can really be. Turtle refuses Moffat's advances and veiled threats, sending him away. Neekto, her Korv secretary comes to comfort her, while Leeta makes a brief appearance, sent in to retrieve the glasses and bottle that Moffat left behind
