Pawtuxet is approached by a Kavi, Jarvis, and offered a chance to go on an unauthorized expedition into an ancient site discovered in the Rephidim wilderness. Pawtuxet accepts, and the next day she sets out with her Kavi guide by foot, reaching the site and entering. She puzzles over a stone wall and some cylinders, and sets off a pit trap that soon fills with sand. She and the Kavi manage to escape, and find their way into what appears to be a tomb for several small canid creatures of unknown species.
