Lochinvar dreams, and finds himself at the Crossroads of the Seven Sisters. He looks at the choices, and selects the path of Rephath – Goddess of Vengeance – to travel. He soon finds himself apparently back at the Earth Tower (also known as the Tower of Barabbas) in the Desert of Himaat, and faces off against a sand golem, a ruby guardian, and what seems to be Lakshmi and Skye. He struggles against them, but when "Skye" plummets from a staircase, Lochinvar saves him from a likely fatal fall, then rushes up as "Lakshmi" heads into the gargoyle room and sets off a trap.
