Zahn has gone all out; his cabin is cleaned up, the bed is made, and he even has a little table set up with some romantic candles. Taking his cue from the covers of a few romance novels, he's washed his hair so that it's long and flowing and dressed in an open robe with just a pair of shorts.
He's ready for Amelia, and when a scratch comes at the door he throws it open… only to find Parsley there with a bundle of clothes. The Kadie closes his robe, embarrassed at having forgotten that the Lapi doe was going to spend the night! She's even brought her milk-maid uniform for the morning.
Parsley is a little disappointed that the setup wasn't for her, and asks if she's in the way. Zahn says she isn't, since Amelia hasn't shown up yet. Parsley gets him to talk about what he was hoping to do, and then offers to help him practice.
Zahn keeps worrying about getting carried away, and is almost about to (since Parsley is essentially encouraging him to) when Amelia comes in, frazzled and exhausted. Parsley helps Zahn relax her, and once she's asleep they decide to turn in as well.
