While waiting for their breakfasts, Qing and Morgan deal with the somewhat blunt questions of Emily von Richebeau… until Inaya's daughter Kalila enters.

It becomes clear that Kalila thinks Qing should talk to her mother, in case he's met her aunt Tasha while she was still alive. Qing also picks up on something she says to ask Morgan about the artifacts that Valicross left behind. Morgan explains about the Sealing Box and how everything was locked inside, but can be viewed by Qing whenever he's ready.

While eating, Morgan asks about magic, and about Caroban, wanting to confirm what Qing mentioned before about them not being in any great hurry to hunt witches and other unlicensed magic users.

Things get around to talk of children, and Qing's attitude prompts Morgan to ask if has any children of his own…
