Bassai goes over his notes, coming to the conclusion that this site may be something big – really big – and predating the so-called First Ones. He directs the Magenta Lancer, Thorn, to go on a journey on the surface to investigate one of this theories, and surveys further mapping and exploration of the site, at last heading down a shaft on a platform with Fenter, exploring the next level down, and some of the crystalline structures there – finding that at least part of the complex is still operational
