Back in Bromthen City, Lakshmi and Skye report to the Secretary-General of the failure of their mission. All is not a loss, though, as the Secretary-General seems interested in holding on to their services for the future, and they are approached by Inquisitor Tobit about a possible job in the Himaat. They meet with Lochinvar, an experienced explorer, who will also be going along on this mission. After the meeting, Skye expresses his fears that this is all a setup, and that the Temple knows who he is and where he is.
