Tarin, unable to face riding an airship, bolts, and Winnowei is arrested while she and WolfSinger try to grab him. WolfSinger and Tarin make a safe arrival in Rephidim and are sold (without their knowledge) by the captain to pay for their travel fees, to a customs inspector who reckons that they may be Exiles… The Temple Leftenant Farago verifies Tarin is indeed an Exile, but believes WolfSinger's claim of being a native Jupan. WolfSinger, on receiving news that he will be a servant to the port inspector vixen who brought him off the ship, berserks and runs away into the forest; Tarin is led deeper into the Temple for eventual processing…
