Arkold squares off with a Blood-Spider, an incarnation of a Dagh-Demon. Instead of fighting it one-on-one, Grey's men disable the creature by using water. Arkold then plunges his hand into the heart of the creature and rips out the amulet that animates it. Down it goes … and the upper floors of the Keep are in the hands of the attackers. Some remain to guard the upper floors while Arkold, Ravenia, and Phlagaea descent into the depths. There they fight the battle for the Shadow has begun…
