The morning after arriving (or meeting with) the wandering community of Vagrant, concern arises about Tulani's shoulder and the need to have her treated by a real healer. Lilith mentions that she may know of a place nearby to get help, but will have to check for special landmarks first.

After searching, Lilith returns with good news and bad news: the good news is that she has her bearings and knows how to find the temple where they can get help. The bad news is that only shrine-maidens and priestesses are allowed to enter or be near it. After much cajoling (and giggling on Tulani's part) the two men reluctantly agree to pose as women.

As the town of Vagrant marches east, the Eeee and Jupani are transformed into the Priestess of Sunala, Nicora, and the Titanian Demon Hunter Cari, respectively.
