While Tulani goes after the last drops of her beer, Alptraum excuses himself to find a restroom. While he's gone, a Lapi doe with the Satyr mutation (horns, hooves and a spade-tipped tail) strikes up a conversation with her. Haschen Gehornt is her name, and she and her brother are out looking for monsters to take them to the Monster's Ball at midnight. Tulani is curious, and asks more.

It turns out that Mort dropped a hint to the brother about Alptraum, since he was looking for someone in the visage of Death. Kaninchen arrives and chides his sister for giving away his leads, and Tulani is amused because it's obvious the buck is looking for Alptraum.

Then it turns out that Haschen is trying to find a dragon!

Alptraum returns, and is immediately beset by Kaninchen who asks to be his Victim for the Ball. The Eeee is a bit shocked, since Kaninchen is another male, but is assured that it's not a date.

Tulani talks him into agreeing to go, and they decide they have enough time to do a little flying and hunting before returning to meet with the Lapis to go to the ball.
