Jynx, known now as 'Meow', wanders the streets of the Bazaar, unable to speak, and with bleached fur. An accident results in him being sprayed with droplets of oil, and he is soon thereafter mistaken for a wandering Savanite. He flees a couple of Skreeks, getting onto a wagon with several Savanites on it … who are headed for the Docks. There, 'Meow' ends up boarding a vessel, and spending the night in the hold.
