Mage Kessler teaches a class in a specially reinforced room within the School of Fire on Carabon, since the class is on offensive use of magic. The focus in on finding and exploiting the weaknesses of an opponent to maximize the amount of damage that a simple spell could accomplish.

Students are paired up with target dummies representing various different races, and have a few minutes to come up with a course of action. Then they prepare their spells and take turns attacking their target and explaining their rationale for the spell and attack they chose.
