After being halted at the gate by the mercenaries during her attempt to help Gibson escape, Umeko eventually goes to meet with Vandringar while Lilac keeps to the shadows and follows.

After complaining about her treatment by his guards, Umeko learns that Vandringar is not in Hakuu's employ, but is a partner in whatever scheme is going on.

Vandringar personally escorts Lady Umeko to the gate to avoid any more problems with the mercenary guards, and Lilac flies over the wall to catch up.

Back at the Tsugiri estate, Umeko tries to relax while Lilac tells her what she learned sneaking around Hakuu's estate.
