Jonas is threatened with death, and refuses to release his hostage or surrender. He lets Buran free once he escapes the palace grounds. Pretending to still be a Commissar, he makes his way by carriage to Keep #1, while the alert is spread.
Luftritteren pursue him by air, after determining the situation. Jonas is only able to escape by entering the Underground, the subterrain public transit system of Blitzheim. He leaves by an unorthodox method, climbing out one of the ventilation shafts. Hailing a cab he makes it the rest of his way undetected, only to discover the Keep is closed, and surrounded by several factions of guards and soldiers.
