As per her plan, Lilac flew ahead of the Imperial forces to assist the commandos in striking at Beshret's airfield. Finding herself late, the airfield holding but one wrecked airship and a multitude of bodies, the bardess searches until she finds a commando who directs her to where she may find his fellows – and then asks her to kill him. She reluctantly does so, as best she is able, then returns to the enemy air fleet. Having witnessed their air shield patterns earlier, she easily passes the wind field and sneaks aboard. There, she rescues the commandos and, with their help, destroy the Rephidimite-make ship causing the remaining fleet to flee the field. The commandos thank Lilac for her assistance before departs to return to her friends' side.
