On Midsummer's Eve, Alptraum prepares to leave the ship so that if Klaus Schmidt, materializes, it'll be away from prying eyes, but he notices the Spirit mage, Ariel Azale, on the deck, and decides to swing by to chat with her. The ghost materializes earlier than Alptraum had anticipated, to the startlement of the exorcist. Alptraum attempts to dispel the ghost but gets swatted on the tail for his effort, but the exorcist touches the ghost, and to her surprise, dispels it with a mere cantrip. In actuality, it was merely the act of touching the ghost that dispelled it, but when she finds that Alptraum was actually expecting this to happen, she grows suspicious. Alptraum, on the spot, spills the beans about Klaus Schmidt's story.
