An airship arrives at Paradys, after it passes out of the Forbidden Zone of Shabar. A message is delivered to Zoltan, from Qing the Spirit Mage. Zoltan learns of the danger in some Eeee spies seeking out the "boomer" weapons. He opts to change plans and head to Babel with Jezebel and her entourage, since Jezebel is headed that way anyway to pay a visit to High Prince Boghaz. Zoltan bids a tearful farewell to his adopted children, Pouncer and Enos – and he reveals to Pouncer her true heritage, as a descendant of the great Vartan hero, Shokar.
