Anisa and Aaron travel on an airship, the Hecatoncheire, to Olympia, where Aaron makes a brief stop at a Temple of Abaddon (and Anisa is mistaken for a sacrificial virgin – though the priests there try to explain that they just don't do that sort of thing anymore). They make their way to a dock to meet up with a barge – and Aaron's "evil twin cousin," Roland – for the trip to Amazonia.
