Alptraum goes to see Mave regarding understanding biological issues of the new body. Along the way he runs into Tulani, whom promptly makes fun of Alptraum's current state. She even calls him weird! They discuss briefly where they plan to meet up in a week or so … and then Tulani is off.

Alptraum then encounters Mave, who turns out to adore the tail. The strange Yodhinala then gives her a crash course in bathing and comfort. After the bath, though, Mave uses a bit of her fertility potion to 'jump start' Alptraum's new 'ovulation cycle', which is disturbing to say the least. Alptraum quickl discovers how much that potion affects her biology as well as how she thinks. The drugged Eeee indulges in activities what would have horrified her were she in a normal state of mind.

Alptraum manages some semblance of recovering her mind. Enough to be worried when Mave tells her to not worry too much, that within a few days she'll be one of them completely. It may very well be the scariest thing Alptraum has ever heard!
